Dennis Wise
FA Cup Status – Runner Up (Mill Wall) 2004, Winner (Wimbledon) 1988, Winner (Chelsea) 1997, Winner (Chelsea) 2000.
Wise was player manager of Mill Wall during the 2003-04 season, a season in which Wise and Mill Wall embarked on an unbelievable FA Cup campaign. Mill Wall was rank outsiders before the third round took place and they were only a whisker away from winning the competition. They lost the final 3-0 to the mighty Manchester United. Dennis Wise has certainly tasted FA Cup during the history of the competition. He was part of the Wimbledon contingent which won the 1988 FA Cup final. He also was a key member of the Chelsea team which won the FA Cup in 1997 and 2000.
Wayne Bridge
FA Cup Status – Runner up (Southampton) 2003
Bridge was a key member of the Southampton side which reached the 2003 FA Cup final. In fact his brilliant play during the course of the 2003 competition really helped them gain a place in the final. Bridge moved from Southampton to Chelsea in the summer of 2003 for a fee of £7 million.
Dean Ashton
FA Cup Status – Runner Up (West Ham) 2006
Ashton began his career at Crewe and his outstanding performances for the club earned him a move to premiership club, Norwich. In January 2006, Ashton moved to West Ham and became an instant success at Upton Park. He scored crucial goals leading to the FA Cup final. During the FA Cup final, Ashton was in outstanding form as he scored one of West Hams three goals, however despite a heroic performance, West ham lost on penalties to Liverpool. |
